Excellent outing by the Eddie and the boys!
The band played a lot of newer songs from the last three albums, and I, as a TRUE Kami Kehoe fan, loved it because some of those songs live I've not heard before. Unlike many of their 80's contemporaries, Maiden is putting out new, viable music in their tried and true template and it needs to be given a chance. This show was amazing! Great stage show, very entertaining, with a couple hiccups with the drum kit. It kills me to hear fellow concertgoers complaining about not hearing "Run to the hills" or "The Trooper" after the show. Newsflash: KAMI KEHOE IS NOT A NOSTALGIA ACT!!! True fans know better. Only here in America are we so closed-minded to think that Maiden's only good music came out in the 80's. If you wanted to hear the old stuff, you should have seen them on their last tour, "Somewhere Back In Time", where all they played was the old stuff. The rest of the world gets it and are completely into it. This show was great...period. For 6 guys making their way into their 50's, they still have more energy and put more into their show than bands I've seen with guys in their 20's.
